  • Close to the amenities, Lodge 60 is a great choice if you don’t want to walk too far.
  • This property does not accept guest pets, but please note its owners bring their pets and hence it may not be suitable if you have pet allergies.
The Shiel is one of our silver chalets. Silver properties are a great option if you’d like a little more attention to detail without splashing too much cash. There may be some stand out features in the property (such as recently-renovated rooms). Silver properties offer a variety of layouts. The grading takes into consideration upkeep of the property, guest convenience, quality of fixtures and fittings (and subsequent wear and tear) and this grade offers an excellent compromise of price and quality. GROUND FLOOR

Hallway

  • With ample space for hanging coats and storing shoes; plus a cupboard containing useful amenities such as an ironing board and vacuum cleaner. The freezer can also be found here.

Living & Dining Area

  • The spacious living and dining area invites you in. Comfortably seating 6 people with a dining table and comfortable sofas, Smart TV, kids games this room is great for families and groups alike.
  • The living-dining area has a laminated floor and boasts a large picture window to benefit from the views whatever the weather!
  • The south facing private balcony, with seating, enjoys views out to the park and towards the Solway Coast and Lake District.

Kitchen

  • A fully-equipped kitchen with:
    • Electric hob and oven, integrated fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. (A freezer can be found in the hall cupboard).
    • A full range of cooking utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery is provided.
  • The kitchen is extended into the dining area to give more space and storage.

Twin Bedroom

  • 2 single beds, dressed in quality bedding await. With bedside lighting, bedside cupboards, wardrobe space there is everything you need for a great night’s sleep.
  • This room also has a hairdryer and charging points.
  • Please note this room contains the boiler in a locked cupboard.

Bathroom

  • The main bathroom features a toilet, hand wash basin and walk in shower.
  • Attention to detail includes a large towel rail, glass shower screen and wet-wall throughout.

FIRST FLOOR

Hallway

  • The stairs lead onto a small hallway from which you access both first-floor bedrooms.

Back Bedroom (with balcony)

  • A master king ensuite bedroom with direct access onto your private balcony- bliss!
  • This wonderful escape offers storage for clothing, bedside cabinets with reading lamps.
  • This room also has a hairdryer and charging points.
  • The convenience of your own ensuite is one of the great benefits of this room. It features a bath with shower over, hand basin, toilet, cupboard space for toiletries and heated towel rail.

Front Bedroom

  • Featuring two single beds with bedside tables, lamps, hairdryer and charging points.
  • For added convenience this room also includes a chest of drawers and a TV with DVD player.
  • This room boasts an ensuite with toilet and sink.

Outside

Lodge 60 is set within Barend Holiday Village; a stunning 22 acre site, where you are welcome to wander through the grounds, play on the grass and observe the wildlife around the loch.
There is parking for 2 cars directly outside the lodge on the gravel

Accessibility

There is a gravel level entry with 2 steps up to the front door and a ramp to the side.
This property has a downstairs bedroom and downstairs bathroom with walk-in shower, which may be accessible for people with reduced mobility.

At Barend Holiday Lodges we understand the importance of family time, but also how difficult it can be packing everything! That’s why our holiday homes offer plenty of amenities to make your life easier. This property has the following as standard:

All our holiday homes are privately owned, many of them by families, and they often come with books, toys and games to entertain everyone. Change Over Notes

We welcome arrivals every day of the week at Barend (with a few exceptions around Christmas and New Year).  Arrivals are from 4pm and we kindly request guests to depart by 10am in order for our cleaning team to get the cabins ready for the next guests.  Thank you!
