Sounds idyllic? Sounds like Barend at Christmas! This magical time of year is one of our most popular for holidays. Whether you’re getting away with a loved one or fancy getting the whole family together without the struggle of accommodating everyone, Barend is the place to be.
Use the filters on the search facility to choose your preferred style of decorations. Our Scandi-decorated lodges feature simple trees like the ones above, with wooden decorations on them. Traditionally-decorated properties include an artificial traditional-style tree with decorations. They are decorated by the owners and specific decorations will vary – please contact us if you’d like more details.
We are now sold out for Christmas 2025. We are taking bookings for Christmas 2026 and recommend booking soon to choose your favourite property!
A fairytale Christmas
All our lodges have a great festive feel about them. Children receive a free gift and there’s a free bottle of bubbly for the adults too! Give everyone a Christmas to remember and memories to cherish forever.

A Scottish Hogmanay at Barend
There’s nothing like Hogmanay in Scotland, which is why so many of our guests return year after year. A great occasion to get family and friends together, plus an on-site bar and restaurant means you don’t have to find a “Des” for the night! Bookings are already being taken for 2025 and 2026, so if you’ve got a favourite lodge, we suggest getting it booked quickly!
Guests also receive a free bottle of bubbles to help bring in the New Year.
