  • Lodge 15 is a traditional two-storey wooden self catering lodge situated at Barend Holiday Village.
  • This property comfortably sleeps 6 in three fully separated bedrooms including one king bedroom.
  • Lodge 15 boasts a a spacious open plan living-dining area and kitchen, 3 bathrooms and two balconies with furniture.
  • Rivendell also offers complimentary golf at Colvend in addition to Craigieknowes Golf Course.
  • Please note this chalet uses traditional Scandinavian hot air heating (rather than radiators). Don’t worry: the chalet heats up quickly- it works in snowy Scandinavia - there’s just no water involved!
Rivendell is one of our Silver chalets. Silver properties are a great option if you’d like a little more attention to detail without splashing too much cash. There may be some stand out features in the property (such as recently-renovated rooms). Silver properties offer a variety of layouts. The grading takes into consideration upkeep of the property, guest convenience, quality of fixtures and fittings (and subsequent wear and tear) and this grade offers an excellent compromise of price and quality. GROUND FLOOR
Hallway
  • With ample space for hanging coats and storing shoes; plus a cupboard containing useful amenities such as an ironing board and vacuum cleaner.
Living & Dining Area
  • The spacious living and dining area invites you in. Comfortably seating 6 people with a dining table and comfortable sofas, Smart TV and DVD player this room is great for families and groups alike.
  • The living-dining area is carpeted.
  • The private balcony, with seating is accessed via doors from the living area.
Kitchen
  • A fully-equipped kitchen with:
    • Gas hob and electric oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster,
    • A full range of cooking utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery is provided.
  • The kitchen maintains the original footprint for those who prefer to keep the kitchen and living areas more separated.
  • Additionally Lodge 15 has a Welsh dresser in the dining area offering further kitchen options.
Twin Bedroom
  • 2 single beds, dressed in quality bedding await.
  • With bedside lighting, bedside cupboards, wardrobe space, black out blinds and chest of drawers, there is everything you need for a great night’s sleep.
Bathroom
  • The main bathroom features a shower over the bath, toilet and hand wash basin.
  • Attention to detail includes a towel rail, mirror, shelf space for toiletries and glass folding shower screen.
FIRST FLOOR
Hallway
  • The stairs lead onto a small hallway from which you access both first-floor bedrooms.
King bedroom
  • A master king size ensuite bedroom with direct access onto your private balcony.
  • This wonderful escape offers storage for clothing, bedside cabinets with reading lamps.
  • Enjoy added comfort with black out blinds.
  • The convenience of your own ensuite is one of the great benefits of this room. It features a corner bath, hand basin, toilet, cupboard space for toiletries, mirror and extractor fan.
Twin Bedroom
  • Accessed directly from the hallway, this room offers two single beds with bedside tables, lamps and charging points.
  • This room is perfect for small children because it features a TV snug with comfortable seating.
  • For added convenience this room also includes a chest of drawers, and wardrobe mirror.

Outside

Lodge 15 is set within Barend Holiday Village; a stunning 22 acre site, where you are welcome to wander through the grounds, play on the grass and observe the wildlife around the loch.
There is parking for 2 cars directly outside the lodge (please don’t park on the grass!).

Accessibility

There is a gravel level entry with 2 steps up to the front door.

Family Friendly Amenities

At Barend Holiday Lodges we understand the importance of family time, but also how difficult it can be packing everything! That’s why our holiday homes offer plenty of amenities to make your life easier. This property has the following as standard:

  • Travel cot (please note you’ll need your own bedding - we realise every parent has their own preference)

All our holiday homes are privately owned, many of them by families, and they often come with books, toys and games to entertain everyone. The fibre broadband is fast enough to stream films and we have a great selection of DVDs in reception to borrow. If you’re looking for days out, check our page on family days out. This property has an additional snug for kids to have a little hideaway of their own and beach toys in the downstairs cupboard!

Change Over Notes

We welcome arrivals every day of the week at Barend (with a few exceptions around Christmas and New Year).  Arrivals are from 4pm and we kindly request guests to depart by 10am in order for our cleaning team to get the cabins ready for the next guests.  Thank you!
