  • Merrick boasts a a spacious open plan living-dining area and kitchen, 3 bathrooms and two balconies with furniture.
  • The fully separated bedrooms and additional bathrooms make this holiday home great for groups with teenagers or those wishing to have a little more privacy.
Merrick is one of our gold properties. Gold properties offer high levels of creature comforts. They cleverly utilise space within the lodges, providing additional bathrooms and high-quality furnishings throughout. Most rooms have recently undergone refurbishment, and the owners have prioritised ease of use, considering factors like lighting, heating, cupboard space, and bathroom-to-guest ratios. These chalets come equipped with our standard welcome bags upon arrival (for stays of 4 nights or more) and can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. Living & Dining Area
  • The spacious living and dining area invites you in. Comfortably seating 6 people with a dining table and comfortable sofas, Smart TV and DVD player, kids games and DVDs this room is great for families and groups alike.
  • The living-dining area is carpeted.
  • A corner sofa makes excellent use of the space.
  • Merrick boasts a picture window to benefit from the views whatever the weather!
  • The private balcony, with seating, is accessed via doors from the living area.
Kitchen
  • A fully-equipped kitchen with:
    • gas hob and electric oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster.
    • Nespresso coffee pod machine.
    • A full range of cooking utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery is provided.
    • Integrated white-goods, additional cupboard, and extractor fan.
  • The kitchen maintains the original footprint, but with additional cupboards for a clever use of space.
  • Additionally Lodge 20 has a cupboard in the dining area offering further kitchen options.
Twin Bedroom
  • 2 single beds, dressed in quality bedding, await.
  • With bedside lighting, easy-access charging points, bedside cupboards, and wardrobe space there is everything you need for a great night’s sleep.
Bathroom
  • The main bathroom features a shower over the bath, toilet with soft-close lid and hand wash basin.
  • Attention to detail includes a large towel rail, lit mirror, ample cupboard space for toiletries, glass shower screen, excellent lighting, and an extractor fan .
  • A window blind offers privacy and a small shelf offers space for toiletries. The room is heated by a towel rail.
FIRST FLOOR
Hallway
  • The stairs lead onto a small hallway from which you access both first-floor bedrooms.
King Bedroom
  • A master king ensuite bedroom with direct access onto your private balcony - bliss!
  • This wonderful escape offers storage for clothing, bedside cabinets with reading lamps, hairdryer, and TV.
  • Enjoy added comfort with openable-windows.
  • The convenience of your own ensuite is one of the great benefits of this room. It features a shower, hand basin, soft close toilet, cupboard space for toiletries, mirror and extractor fan. A velux window offers natural light and a heated towel rail makes it easy to dry off your towels.
King Bedroom
  • Leading off the hallway, this room offers a king size bed with bedside tables, lamps and charging points.
  • For added convenience this room also includes a chest of drawers, wardrobe mirror, hairdryer, and black out curtains.
  • Lodge 20 has converted the wardrobe into a walk in shower. The clever use of space is accessed directly from the bedroom, leaving a small wardrobe area.
  • This room also boasts an ensuite with soft close toilet and sink.

Outside

Lodge 20 is set within Barend Holiday Village; a stunning 22 acre site, where you are welcome to wander through the grounds, play on the grass and observe the wildlife around the loch.
There is parking for 2 cars directly outside the lodge (please don’t park on the grass!).

There is a gravel level entry with 1 steps up to the front door.

Family Friendly Amenities

At Barend Holiday Lodges we understand the importance of family time, but also how difficult it can be packing everything! That’s why our holiday homes offer plenty of amenities to make your life easier. This property has the following as standard:

All our holiday homes are privately owned, many of them by families, and they often come with books, toys and games to entertain everyone. Change Over Notes

We welcome arrivals every day of the week at Barend (with a few exceptions around Christmas and New Year).  Arrivals are from 4pm and we kindly request guests to depart by 10am in order for our cleaning team to get the cabins ready for the next guests.  Thank you!
