Lodge 21, Upper Loch View, is one of our gold chalets. Gold properties offer high levels of creature comforts. They cleverly utilise space within the lodges, providing additional bathrooms and high-quality furnishings throughout. Most rooms have recently undergone refurbishment, and the owners have prioritised ease of use, considering factors like lighting, heating, cupboard space, and bathroom-to-guest ratios. These chalets come equipped with our standard welcome bags upon arrival (for stays of 4 nights or more) and can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. GROUND FLOOR
Hallway
  • With ample space for hanging coats and storing shoes; plus a cupboard containing useful amenities such as an ironing board and vacuum cleaner.
Living & Dining Area
  • The spacious living and dining area invites you in. Comfortably seating six people with a dining table and comfortable sofas and a Smart TV this room is great for families and groups alike.
  • A corner sofa makes excellent use of the space. The living-dining area benefits from laminate flooring, which is great if you have pets.
  • Lodge 21 also boasts a large picture window to benefit from the views whatever the weather!
  • The private glass-fronted balcony, with seating, is accessed via doors from the living area.
Kitchen
  • A fully-equipped kitchen with:
    • Electric hob and oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, slow cooker, kettle and toaster.
    • A full range of cooking utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery is provided.
    • Under cabinet lighting and extractor hood with lights allow you to prepare meals with ease.
  • The kitchen maintains the original footprint, but with additional movable work bench for a clever use of space.
Double Bedroom
  • A double bed, dressed in quality bedding awaits.
  • With bedside lighting, bedside cupboards, wardrobe space and a dressing table there is everything you need for a great night’s sleep.
  • Please note this room contains the boiler in a locked cupboard.
Bathroom
  • The main bathroom features a high-quality walk in shower, toilet with soft-close lid and hand wash basin. A privacy bathroom window and a small shelf offers space for toiletries.
  • Attention to detail includes a large towel rail, lit mirror, ample cupboard space for toiletries, glass shower screen, an extractor fan and wet-wall throughout.
FIRST FLOOR
Open Plan Bedroom (with balcony)
  • The stairs open directly into the open plan room.
  • This spacious room comfortably sleeps two people in single beds.
  • Easily storing suitcases and bags, this room also offers clothing rails and space for suitcases.
  • This room has its own personal balcony with seating, offering fantastic views of the loch.
King Bedroom
  • This bedroom is accessed via the open plan room and offers a king bed with bedside tables, lamps and charging points.
  • For added convenience this room also includes a chest of drawers, mirror, hairdryer and hanging rail for clothes.
  • Lodge 21 has converted the wardrobe into a walk in shower. The clever use of space includes a small changing area, walk in shower and bench.

Outside

Lodge 21 is set within Barend Holiday Village; a stunning 22 acre site, where you are welcome to wander through the grounds, play on the grass and observe the wildlife around the loch.
There is parking for 2 cars directly outside the lodge (please don’t park on the grass!).

Accessibility

There is a gravelled level entry with two steps up to the front door.
This property has a downstairs bedroom and downstairs bathroom with walk-in shower, which may be accessible for people with reduced mobility.

At Barend Holiday Lodges we understand the importance of family time, but also how difficult it can be packing everything! That’s why our holiday homes offer plenty of amenities to make your life easier. This property has the following as standard:

All our holiday homes are privately owned, many of them by families, and they often come with books, toys and games to entertain everyone. The fibre broadband is fast enough to stream films and we have a great selection of DVDs in reception to borrow. If you’re looking for days out, check our page on family days out.

Change Over Notes

We welcome arrivals every day of the week at Barend (with a few exceptions around Christmas and New Year).  Arrivals are from 4pm and we kindly request guests to depart by 10am in order for our cleaning team to get the cabins ready for the next guests.  Thank you!
