As one of our gold properties lodge 29 offers high levels of creature comforts. They cleverly utilise space within the lodges, providing additional bathrooms and high-quality furnishings throughout. Most rooms have recently undergone refurbishment, and the owners have prioritised ease of use, considering factors like lighting, heating, cupboard space, and bathroom-to-guest ratios. These chalets come equipped with our standard welcome bags upon arrival (for stays of 4 days or more) and can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. GROUND FLOOR
Hallway
  • With ample space for hanging coats and storing shoes; plus a cupboard containing useful amenities such as an ironing board and vacuum cleaner.
Living & Dining Area
  • The spacious living and dining area invites you in. Comfortably seating 6 people with a dining table and comfortable sofas, smart TV with FreeSat and DVD player this room is great for families and groups alike.
  • The living-dining area is a mix of carpet and laminate.
  • Lodge 29 boasts a large picture window to benefit from the views whatever the weather!
  • The private balcony with seating is accessed via doors in the living area.
Kitchen
  • A fully-equipped kitchen with:
    • Gas hob and electric oven, large free-standing fridge freezer, full sized dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster.
    • A full range of cooking utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery is provided.
  • The kitchen is extended into the dining area to give more space for preparing meals and additional cupboard space.
Double Bedroom
  • A double bed, dressed in quality bedding awaits. With bedside lighting, bedside cupboards and wardrobe space there is everything you need for a great night’s sleep.
  • This room has privacy net voile and black out curtains.
  • Please note this room contains the boiler in a locked cupboard.
Bathroom
  • The main bathroom features a shower over the bath, toilet and hand wash basin.
  • A window blind offers privacy and a small shelf offers space for toiletries. The room is heated by a radiator with wall mounted towel rail.
  • Attention to detail includes a lit mirror, ample cupboard space for toiletries, glass shower screen, excellent lighting, an extractor fan and expansive wet-wall.
FIRST FLOOR
Hallway
  • The stairs lead onto the hallway, which offers access to two fully-separated bedrooms.
Master Bedroom
  • A master double ensuite bedroom with direct access onto your private balcony- bliss!
  • This wonderful escape offers storage for clothing, bedside cabinets with reading lamps and hairdryer.
  • The convenience of your own ensuite is one of the great benefits of this room. It features a shower, hand basin, toilet, bidet, cupboard space for toiletries, lit mirror and extractor fan. A heated towel rail makes it easy to dry off your towels.
Front Bedroom (overlooking front door)
  • Accessed directly from the hallway, this room offers two single beds with bedside tables, lamps and charging points.
  • For added convenience this room also includes a chest of drawers, wardrobe mirror, hairdryer, and black out blinds / curtains.
  • This room also boasts an ensuite with toilet and sink.

Outside

Lodge 29 is set within Barend Holiday Village; a stunning 22 acre site, where you are welcome to wander through the grounds, play on the grass and observe the wildlife around the loch.
There is parking for 2 cars directly outside the lodge (please don’t park on the grass!).

Accessibility

There are 16 steps with hand rail leading to the property, with 2 steps up the the front door.

Family Friendly Amenities

At Barend Holiday Lodges we understand the importance of family time, but also how difficult it can be packing everything! That’s why our holiday homes offer plenty of amenities to make your life easier. This property has the following as standard:

All our holiday homes are privately owned, many of them by families, and they often come with books, toys and games to entertain everyone. The fibre broadband is fast enough to stream films and we have a great selection of DVDs in reception to borrow. If you’re looking for days out, check our page on family days out.

Change Over Notes

We welcome arrivals every day of the week at Barend (with a few exceptions around Christmas and New Year).  Arrivals are from 4pm and we kindly request guests to depart by 10am in order for our cleaning team to get the cabins ready for the next guests.  Thank you!
