Squirrel's Chase Lodge is one of our silver chalets. Silver properties are a great option if you’d like a little more attention to detail without splashing too much cash. There may be some stand out features in the property (such as recently-renovated rooms). Silver properties offer a variety of layouts. The grading takes into consideration upkeep of the property, guest convenience, quality of fixtures and fittings (and subsequent wear and tear) and this grade offers an excellent compromise of price and quality. Hallway

  • With ample space for hanging coats and storing shoes; plus a cupboard containing useful amenities such as an ironing board and vacuum cleaner.

Living & Dining Area

  • The spacious living and dining area invites you in. Comfortably seating 8 people with a dining table, comfortable sofas and smart TV, this room is great for families and groups alike.
  • Boasts a large picture window to benefit from the views whatever the weather!
  • The private balcony, with seating, is accessed via doors from the living area.

Kitchen

  • A fully-equipped kitchen with:
    • Electric hob and oven,fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster.
    • A full range of cooking utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery is provided.
  • The kitchen maintains the original footprint for those who prefer to keep the kitchen and living areas more separated.

Double Bedroom

  • A double bed, dressed in quality bedding awaits. With bedside lighting, bedside cupboards and wardrobe space there is everything you need for a great nights sleep.
  • Please note this room contains the boiler in a locked cupboard.

Bathroom

  • The main bathroom features a shower over the bath, toilet and hand wash basin.
  • Attention to detail includes a small heated towel rail, wall cabinet and an extractor fan.

FIRST FLOOR

Open plan room (with balcony)

  • The stairs open directly into the open plan room.
  • This spacious room comfortably sleeps 4 people in single beds. Each bed has access to a bedside cabinet, lamp and charging point.
  • Easily storing suitcases and bags, this room also offers chest of drawers for clothes and a nook with games, books and toys.
  • This room has its own personal balcony (with seating), offering fantastic views of the park.

Double Bedroom (overlooking front door)

  • This bedroom is accessed via the open plan room and features a double bed with bedside tables, lamps and charging points.
  • For added convenience this room also includes a chest of drawers, wardrobe mirror and hairdryer
  • This room boasts an ensuite with toilet, sink and step-up shower. Please note there is a small step into this shower. For convenience this room also has a towel rail and extractor fan

Outside

Lodge 58 is set within Barend Holiday Village; a stunning 22 acre site, where you are welcome to wander through the grounds, play on the grass and observe the wildlife around the loch.
There is parking for 2 cars directly outside the lodge (please don’t park on the grass!).

Accessibility

There are 4 steps up the the front door.
This property has a downstairs bedroom and downstairs bathroom with shower over bath, which may be accessible for people with reduced mobility.

Family Friendly Amenities

At Barend Holiday Lodges we understand the importance of family time, but also how difficult it can be packing everything! That’s why our holiday homes offer plenty of amenities to make your life easier. This property has the following as standard:

  • One travel cot (please note you’ll need your own bedding - we realise every parent has their own preference)

All our holiday homes are privately owned, many of them by families, and they often come with books, toys and games to entertain everyone. The fibre broadband is fast enough to stream films and we have a great selection of DVDs in reception to borrow. If you’re looking for days out, check our page on family days out.

Change Over Notes

We welcome arrivals every day of the week at Barend (with a few exceptions around Christmas and New Year).  Arrivals are from 4pm and we kindly request guests to depart by 10am in order for our cleaning team to get the cabins ready for the next guests.  Thank you!
