Christmas Holidays & Entertainment 2024
It’s that time of year again – the air is crisp, the nights are drawing in, and some of us are already turning our thoughts towards Christmas. Christmas is a time for gathering with loved ones and indulging in delicious food, and there’s no better place to do that than at Barend and The Beagle Country Pub.
Barend’s holiday cottages are decorated for Christmas with modern trees and wreaths. They make a wonderful location to gather your loved ones together. If you don’t fancy cooking Christmas Dinner, The Beagle has you covered. This cozy pub nestled in the heart of the countryside is the perfect setting for a memorable Christmas dinner.
Christmas at The Beagle Country Pub
The Beagle Country Pub will be serving a delicious 5-course meal again this year. The meal will begin with a glass of sparkling wine and end with coffee and mints for all. Barend Holiday Lodge guests receive a £5 per person discount if you book directly with us. (There is an optional extra when you book. We can also add this retrospectively if you’ve already got a holiday planned). The menu can be found at the bottom of the page. A vegan menu is coming soon!
Places are limited; last year we sold out quickly so we recommend booking quickly to avoid disappointment.
Christmas 2024 holiday dates at Barend
The minimum stay over Christmas is 5 nights. We don’t have arrivals or departures on the 23rd, 24th, 25th or 26th of December. (Christmas Day and Boxing Day are holidays for our staff). This means holidays for Christmas need to start on the following dates:
- 22nd of December: minimum 5 nights (to leave on or after 27th December)
- 21st December: minumum 6 nights (to leave on or after 27th December)
- 20th December: minimum 7 nights (to leave on or after 27th December)
- Or any date starting before the 19th December with a departure date on or after 27th December

Christmas entertainment
During December we decorate all lodges with modern-style Christmas trees (you’re also welcome to bring your own if you wish). The Beagle Country Pub will be putting on lots of entertainment during the week. Keep a look on their website for more information. Don’t forget if you book your Christmas Holiday directly with us, you receive £5 per person off the price of Christmas Dinner.
