Easter Holidays 2021 Information
What is happening for Easter Holidays 2021?
The simple answer is: we don’t know. The Scottish and UK governments haven’t made it clear whether we will be able to open for the Easter Holidays in 2021. We had hoped we would be able to, but this may not be the case. At Barend we will fully comply with all government regulations to keep you as safe as possible.
There are restrictions for English self-caterers until the 12th of April. We are therefore assuming English guests will not be allowed to visit us before this date. There is no such certainty for Welsh and Scottish visitors.
What about our holiday?
If you are due to come from England prior to the 12th of April we will be in touch to move or refund your holiday.
For all other holidays (and Welsh/ Scottish guests) in April we will extend the payment times on your final balance. Usually your final balance is due 28 days prior to your stay at Barend. However, we will extend this until 14 days before your stay. We are constantly reviewing the latest information from both governments and if it becomes clear your holiday will not be allowed we will either move, refund or give you a voucher. The choice will be up to you. The roadmap indicates a possibility that holidays might be ok in later April and any, but we really don’t know yet. We will also contact you if and when it becomes clear that your holiday has to be cancelled or amended.
Contacting us
We are a team of two working flexible-furlough from home around childcare, as many of you probably are as well! Yesterday alone we received over 65 phone calls and it simply isn’t possible for us to answer them all. Our team are therefore sending out an email explaining to everyone affected what is happening and what we are doing. We are trying to respond to all messages where we can, as well as taking in bookings for the summer. Please be patient with us as we try to get in touch with you all.
