May is a fantastic time to visit Dumfries and Galloway.  Many of the local attractions are open and the beach is perfect – warm enough but not too busy!  With a fantastic pub on site, Barend is the perfect location to enjoy South West Scotland at its best.  There are many excellent days out for all the family – see our section on things to do for inspiration.  If you’re more of an outdoor enthusiast, pack your hiking boots and bike to enjoy the wonderful scenery in this quiet corner of Scotland.

Choose between 2, 3 or 4 star accommodation.  We have self catering lodges for up to 8 people, or the luxury cottage for just 2.

If you’d like to bring your furry friend, Barend Holiday Lodges is perfectly set up.  We have a few pet-free lodges too if you have allergies.
