Enjoy a last minute summer holiday at Barend Holidays this year. We have a small range of self catering accommodation still available. Whether you’re looking for a getaway with the kids, a break with friends or some time as a couple, we have something for everyone. South West Scotland is famed for its quiet beaches, picturesque countryside and excellent outdoor activities. We’re easy to get to: only 2 hours from Glasgow and Edinburgh, and 3-4 hours from Leeds and Manchester.

Our lodges, cabins and cottage sleep between 2 to 8 people. You can start your holiday on any day, plus we offer any length of stay (with a minimum of 3 nights). The self-catering accommodation ranges from 2 to 4 star, offering something for every budget.
What’s included?
All the obvious things are included when you book directly: there are no hidden booking or cleaning costs. The following are included as standard:
- 1 free round of golf at Craigieknowes golf club
- free private swimming at Barend Swimming Pool
- bedding and towels (1 set per person excluding infants)
- teatowels, oven gloves, j cloths and dishwasher tablets
- soap and washing up liquid plus 1 toilet roll per toilet
- on-site maintenance team and reception support
- 4* lodges also receive a free of charge welcome bag
- lodges marked as “free wifi” have wifi free (please note if free wifi isn’t mentioned, the lodge doesn’t have internet access)
Why Dumfries and Galloway?
Barend Holiday Lodges is hidden away in a corner of Scotland that is often overlooked. However, it offers scenery to rival that of the Highlands and Lake District, but without the crowds (and costs!). See our informative guides on what’s on in the local area here.
