Reopening of Barend Holiday Lodges!

Here's to Brighter days: Reopening of Barend Holiday Lodges
Here’s to brighter days…

Well that was a shocker! Barend Holiday Lodges is reopening to guests from July 3rd! This is wonderful news and we are working like bees to get ready for you. The website availability has been updated to reflect the new dates. We expect holidays to book very quickly so please don’t hesitate. You can book online here or give us a call if you would like to discuss options. Our number is 01387 780663.

Travel from England and Wales allowed

Please be assured we are welcoming guests from all over the UK. We have received many questions in particular about travel from England. Therefore we contacted our local MSP and the association of Scottish Self Caterers. The have reassured us that cross-border travel is permissible.

Cleaning and Health and Safety

We are working with our linen and cleaning suppliers to ensure your health and safety. Our cleaners will conduct deep cleans in all lodges before we reopen. We have updated our processes and risk assessments to help reduce the risk of infection and contamination. We are undertaking further training for all cleaners in line with guidance from the Association of Scottish Self Caterers.

Our check in and check out procedures will be amended to maintain social distancing, and we will leave cleaning products in all lodges for guests to use.

Reopening of Barend Holiday Lodges’ facilities

Unfortunately we don’t anticipate being able to open the swimming pool until the next stage of lockdown easing, but we will keep you notified as we get updates. The Bar and Restaurant is looking into the possibility of offering takeaways for guests.

Thank you greatly to those guests who have supported us, sent us messages of goodwill and helped us during what has been an incredibly stressful and difficult time. We wholeheartedly appreciate it and cannot wait to see you again soon.
