We offer a variety of rental options including lodges, cabins, and couple’s accommodation that can be rented separately or together to accommodate groups of any size – from 2 to 200. We are proud to have won “Employer of The Year” (2023) and be twice-shortlisted for “Best Self-Catering” at the Visit Scotland Thistle Awards.
What makes Barend special?
Many of our guests have been coming to Barend for generations, and it’s clear to see why. Barend Holiday Village is a collection of individually-owned Scandinavian log cabins (one and two storeys) carefully set in naturally-landscaped grounds. Our holiday homes suit many people; from families with young children and teenagers, to older couples and groups of mountain bikers: everyone feels at home here.
There are no expensive additional facilities like at Center Parcs; Barend is the perfect base to explore Dumfries and Galloway or just relax in your lodge. Our indoor heated swimming pool is available exclusively to guests who book directly with us and we offer free golf at a local golf club.
