Valentine's Day

Celebrate with Barend Holiday Lodges and The Beagle Country Pub this Valentine’s Day.

Join us for a short break in a beautiful Scandinavian lodge, a stones throw from one of the best sandy beaches in Dumfries and Galloway.

Romantic package

Add the “romantic package” to your stay as a surprise for your loved one. This includes a bouquet of flowers, a box of handmade chocolates from local chocolatiers, and a bottle of Prosecco from The Beagle Country Pub.  Add this as an optional extra during the booking process.

Fine dining experience

Book a fine dining experience of two or three courses from a specially selected Valentine’s menu. Individual courses can be purchased from this menu for those of us with a lesser appetite. Available from Friday 11th February to Monday 14th February.

We advise booking in advance.

Love is in the air

This Cistercian Monastery was founded by Lady Devorguilla of Galloway in devotion to her late husband John de Balliol. Lady Devorguilla kept her husband’s embalmed heart with her for the rest of her life in an ivory and silver casket.  Take a drive down to Sweetheart Abbey, just around the corner at New Abbey to learn about the history of this famous piece of Dumfries and Galloway heritage.

Stretch your legs with a walk in Dalbeattie Forest at the renowned 7 Stanes Trails to the famous Heart Stane. This walk is quite long and uphill, however Dalbeattie Forest has plenty of scenic routes.

A tranquil experience

Noi’s Thai massage room in Dalbeattie offers a range of luxury holistic treatments. Having recently expanded, they are now able to offer couples massages! Dalbeattie is just around the corner, so you don’t have far to travel before spending the rest of the day relaxing in your lodge!

We can’t wait to welcome you and help make your weekend a success!
